Springdance Symposium - Nomadic conditions
Springdance Symposium
Nomadic Conditions
What are our prospects for the nomadic way of working that characterizes the European field of dance and performance? The symposium Nomadic Conditions gathers an international group of artists, artistic directors, curators, dramaturgs and scholars for three discussion panels about the most urgent questions of today. What are the primary conditions that choreographers need to develop their artistic work? And what strategies can artistic directors employ to accommodate their needs in a time of increasing financial and national restrictions?
Philosopher and art theoretician Bojana Kunst opens the symposium with the lecture ‘The Project Horizon: On the Temporality of Art Making’.
Discussion sessions with: Danjel Andersson (MDT Stockholm), Kristof Blom (Campo), Renée Copraij, Bojana Kunst (University of Hamburg), Dieter Lesage (Vrije Universiteit Brussel/ RITS), Kate McIntosh (SPIN), Bojana Mladenovic (Veemtheater), Marietta Piekenbrock (Ruhrtriennale), Goran Sergej Pristas (BADco), Agnes Quackels (Buda), Jenny Schlenzka (MoMA PS1) and Alma Söderberg.
